is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to excellence in the operation and management of sober living. The Network was founded in 1995 to provide training and assistance to a few local groups of sober living homes. Today our 500 Network affiliated homes assist over 20,000 recovering addicts and alcoholics in Southern California each year.
The Network develops health, safety, management and ethical standards that are based on decades of experience and best practices from across the country. We conduct training workshops for current and potential sober living providers throughout Southern California.
We provide expertise to state and local governments and agencies. Recently we have intervened in local government efforts to violate State and Federal fair housing laws in their attempts to limit the rights of the disabled to community-vased housing, including sober living.
We also provide services directly to those in early recovery. Through a grant from the Marisla Foundation we offer financial assistance to homes serving recovering women with small children. We also sponsor the Venice Recovery Center, which houses 12 Step meetings and recovery activities in the Venice/Santa Monica area.
